James
Worthington
James is an experienced wills and probate solicitor with a
particular interest in matters affecting the elderly. He also
undertakes some work for Charities, and some residential and
commercial property work.
He qualified as a solicitor in 1974 and was then involved with
some property and trust legal work in India and Pakistan. After
doing a BA in Theology and some church pastoral work he returned
to legal practice in 1981, doing mainly Conveyancing. He joined
the firm in 1985, becoming senior partner in 1993 since when he
has increasingly focused on matters relating to Clients and their
dependants and relatives.
James married in India in 1977, now lives in Amersham and has
two daughters. His interests centre mainly around his local church
and community and is also a past chairman of the Association of Christian
Law Firms.
Nigel Spoor
Nigel qualified as a solicitor in 1976 after graduating from
Durham University in 1973. He specialises in residential and commercial
conveyancing, wills, trusts and probate. Since 1996 he has been a member
of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners, and is a
current member of the Law Society's specialist Probate Section.
Prior to joining Fairchild Dobbs, he worked with an old-established
Essex law firm for 15 years as articled clerk, assistant solicitor
and partner. He moved to Buckinghamshire to join Fairchild Dobbs
as a partner in 1989. He is also a member of the Law Society's Probate Section.
Married with a son at university, he lives in Little Chalfont and is
an active member of Christchurch Chorleywood and a past secretary
of the Association of Christian Law Firms. His spare-time interests
include listening to and making music (he enjoys playing the piano
and organ, and sings with a local choral society) and walking.
In 2003 he undertook a sponsored trek along the Great Wall of
China in support of the Asthma UK charity.
David Alldis
David has spent his legal career working in High Street practices
in the Home Counties with varied experience in the fields of property
and litigation. He joined the property department of Fairchild
Dobbs in 2001.
He originally graduated from the University of York in 1975 and,
after having qualified as a teacher, spent three years working
for the Warwickshire Education Authority. He went on to qualify
as a solicitor in 1984 and later became a member of the Family
Law Panel.
Living in Watford, David is a shareholder and season ticket holder
of Watford FC and otherwise enjoys a game of cricket, reading,
the theatre and acting as an occasional charity quizmaster. As
a graduate in politics he takes a keen interest in current affairs
and enjoys travelling at home and abroad.
